FAA was founded in Vienna in 1993 by Dieter Biron and partners.<\/p>

Initially, the company focused on the design and delivery of practice-oriented training and professional development programs\nfor private-sector companies.<\/p>

Following Austria\u2019s accession to the European Union in 1995, the\ncountry gained direct access to EU reform and funding initiatives.\nIn the same year, FAA successfully secured several international\ncontracts. The company's early international activities focused on\ngovernment advisory services, EU accession support, legal\nharmonization, and institution-building projects in EU candidate\ncountries.<\/p>

In 1997, FAA acquired two well-established training organizations\nof the Federation of Austrian Industries: MDI \u2013 Management\nInstitute of Industry and SPIDI \u2013 Language Institute of Industry.\nAfter a two-year restructuring of their organizational structures\nand service portfolios, both companies were sold through a\nmanagement buyout in 1999.<\/p>

Since 1999, FAA has expanded its activities to include the\nmanagement of organizational change, particularly in the context\nof public administration reforms, mergers, and restructuring\nprocesses. FAA experts assume overall responsibility throughout\nthe entire project lifecycle\u2014from analysis and concept\ndevelopment to implementation and evaluation.<\/p>

In 2001, the Austrian Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and\nLabour entrusted FAA with the administration of the EQUAL\nprogramme for the Austrian labour market, financed by the\nEuropean Social Fund, under a seven-year outsourcing contract.\nFollowing an outstanding evaluation by the European Commission,\nFAA was awarded additional contracts by several Austrian federal\nministries.<\/p>

Since 2002, FAA has supported various government initiatives,\nincluding aed \u2013 Agency for Economic Cooperation and\nDevelopment, promoting the export of Austrian best practices and\nthe transfer of international best practices to Austria.<\/p>

Building on years of successful cooperation with public institutions\nand major corporate clients\u2014many partnerships spanning\ndecades\u2014and numerous professional recognitions, FAA now\noperates at the interface between the public and private sectors.<\/p>

Public sector reform projects supported by FAA have frequently\nserved as catalysts for follow-up projects involving private\nindustry.<\/p>

Since 2012, FAA has had framework agreements with aed \u2013\nAgency for Economic Cooperation and Development for consulting\nand project management services.<\/p>
